About me
I'm 29, and I live in Middlesbrough, England. I'm a web applications developer by day, DJ by night.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming and I am also a Professional Member of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. I have been actively working in the industry since 2001.
I like making things that people can get excited about. Have a project you're excited about? Get me involved, and you'll have your customers excited about it too.
What I do
I'm Managing Director and CTO at Rocket Dog Creative, where we build interconnected web, mobile and embedded applications that help our clients run the day-to-day operations of their companies, provide healthcare services, maintain relationships with their customers, provide transport services, and much more.
Rocket Dog Creative also runs File Sanctuary, providing the infrastructure for web and mobile applications (regardless of whether we built them) by offering high-performance Cloud Servers, web hosting, email hosting, domain registration, SSL certificates, high quality trust products, Livedrive cloud backup, and much more.
A normal work day is pretty varied. I architect and write software, I set up servers for that software to run on, I maintain those servers, I run servers that you can put your own sites and apps on, I provide fantastic plain English technical support and consulting services for all of the above, I... well you get the idea.
I’m basically a human Swiss Army Knife capable of full app lifecycle support, from planning to post-launch maintenance, and I also offer great plain-English consultancy services. Chances are that if you need something even remotely related to computers, mobile devices or the Internet, I can help.
I also occasionally DJ at various nightclubs in and around the Middlesbrough area, having played at many venues over the years including: The Empire, The Arena, The Crown, Onyx, The Terrace, Blu, Basement and more.
